My first reaction
I was elated and my joy knew no bounds. I would give credit to my parents, friends and office colleagues as they really kept me motivated.
I did my articleship from a mid-size firm. Articleship helps us in gaining a very practical outlook which makes it much easier to understand the subjects.
I studied on my own and feel that coaching institutes are not at all required.
6-8 hours daily during study leave. 2-3 hours daily during final year of articleship. I would take up 2-3 subjects daily to avoid boredom.

Rank and preparation
Yes, I aimed for a rank and made sure that I reminded myself of my goal everyday. I had kept target scores for each subject and planned my studies in a way that would help me achieve those scores.
I have taken up a job in a multinational company. I would like to gain some work experience before deciding my future plans.
Advice to fellow students
I would advise everybody to focus on gaining conceptual clarity in all subjects and make sure that their fundamentals are clear. Further, consistency and optimism are the key drivers for cracking the exam.
