I belong to a family of lawyers. My father is an advocate and my mother is a house wife. I entered into this field after completing my 12th. My father inspired me to take up CA and afterwards I developed a lot of liking for the course.

My first reaction

I was expecting a good result but not an AIR. I was really very happy on seeing my result. I want to give credit to my parents, teachers and my seniors and colleagues in my office for their continuous guidance and support.

I have done my internship from PwC in the Transfer Pricing department. Practical exposure gained during my articleship period helped me in understanding my subjects in a better way.

CA course is a self study course. But you need coaching and guidance on some subjects. I took coaching for 4 subjects i.e, Accounts, SFM, Costing and IDT.

a. I did not have any exact study schedule. I had planned to revise all the subjects at least twice in the last 3 months and I was able to do that.

b. SFM, Accounts and IDT were my strong subjects. I did not like costing and I had to put in a lot of efforts for it.

Advice to fellow students

I would like to advice all the students to enjoy their studies and try to understand each and every topic practically. This will make studying a lot easier and the knowledge that they will gain will be with them for their lifetime. So, study with the aim of gaining knowledge and not just to pass the exams.
