Rank: 27, Batch: Nov 2015
I am kind of person who study along with fun in my life. I never thought of doing CA, I started preparing for it when I didn’t got admission in north campus college just due to falling short by 0.5% (out of 94% needed) in my senior secondary examination.
My first reaction
When I saw my result it was like an unseen dream come true and I felt like I am not on earth. I want to give its credit to my family for constantly supporting me whenever I feel let down, my friends who helped me all the way and most importantly to all my teachers for guiding me.
I am pursuing my articleship from Krishan Karan & Associates. It helped a lot since I got practical exposure of what I am studying in classes so that I didn’t need to cram them.
I took coachings for 4 subjects rest I did myself. Self study is the only way to clear the exams, coaching can guide you but final output will only depend on self study.
When it comes to study schedule, exam leaves helped me a lot. That last 4 month I read it to my best. Group discussions with friends on any problem makes a very big difference, as those problems are not easy to forget. For theory subjects try to revise them by writing answers so that weakness could be gone before exams.
Books and e-sources
- Law – munish bhandari
- ISCA – Institute modules are the best source
- Audit – Surbhi bansal
Due to time constraints I was not able to attend mock tests. I don’t think they are necessary if you solved 3-4 past year examination papers at home.
Rank and preparation
No, I was not preparing for any rank. I was just studying to do my best, so that I could clear CA-Final exams in first attempt.
I would like to enter into the corporate world.
I am just updating myself with current affairs and with special emphasis on GST.
Advice to fellow students
Just do studies for your own knowledge and enjoy the subjects you are studying. And all the very best to all my friends and feel free to write me at Payalbansal1307@gmail.com.
