Hitesh Kumar Bansal - AIR 30 CA Final November 2015 - Chandigarh, Punjab
Hitesh Kumar Bansal

I’m a simple, fun loving guy from Chandigarh. Born and brought up in the family of Defence Personnel, I dreamed of being a Chartered Accountant from the early stages of my career. The day I passed Class X, I was very sure of what I want to be and undoubtedly it was being a Chartered Accountant.

My first reaction

Well 17th January 2016 was surely the day I always waited for. It was a day of mixed emotions since the very beginning tension, anxiety, nervousness and finally the moment .. CA Hitesh Bansal. We know, the first word a child utters in his life is “Maa”.. similarly, my first reaction was “Maaa…mein CA ban gaya”. The day she waited for throughout her life and credit to all that I’m in my life goes to my parents, teachers, all near and dear ones, friends and colleagues who have been the greatest support in my life and always motivated me for achieving my goal.

I did my internship from M/s UK Mehta And Associates, a firm led by Past-Chairman of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Chandigarh Branch and our dear family friend CA Uma Kant Mehta ji who have been at all times my greatest strength of motivation and whose leadership and working style has always inspired me. He introduced me to the world of Chartered’s with brief introductions about “What CAs Do ?” and then made me face real challenges at work under his personal leadership which made me familiar with most of the laws and how actually to apply sections and standards which was one of the greatest support to me during my preparation for CA-Finals.

Preparation was mixed blend of Coaching and Self-study depending on subjects. It is not a pre-most condition to join a coaching Institute. You must try whether you can do it yourself or not. And also, if you are going for coaching, that doesn’t means you are inferior to someone .. not at all but remember that coaching gives you only academic base, it is you who is yourself required to attain a practical edge over everything and let me warn ..” You are not a Chartered till the time you know how to apply your academics.”

Study schedule must be based on one’s own capabilities. For a person like me who cannot at any cost study for more than 6-7 hours a day, he must start his preparation 6 months before the attempt and try to cover every aspect of the course. We must try to cover Practice Manuals along side.

Mock tests

For mock tests, I will say “You cannot afford to miss them”.

Rank and preparation

Just prepare your best … God will do the rest. Try creating a grasp over subjects.

Future Plans

Corporate beyond a doubt.

ICAI Campus

Well, didn’t prepared much .. but I’m a part of ITC Limited now.
