Rank: 24, Batch: May 2017
Place: Banswara, Rajasthan
In a scenario where a kid with good grades is expected to be a doctor or engineer, I have opted for commerce stream which proclaimed my inclination towards the dynamic world of finance and businesses and that’s why I opted for chartered accountancy.
My first reaction
I was having tears in my eyes and even not able to speak with people on phone for some time. I want to give credit to my parents, sister and my teachers.
I have done my articleship from a mid size firm Dhiren Shha & Co in Ahmedabad. It helps a lot in my studies especially in taxation where I was able to relate theory with practicality.
I have joined classes for CA final but on a serious note what I feel afterwards that it was last 5 month self studies only which can help you to reach your goal.
A. Study schedule:
I use to read almost 12 effective hours a day in last 5 months. I use to study a combination of one theory and practical in a day.
B. Strong and weak subjects (How did I prepare them?)
My weak subjects were audit and ISCA. And for ISCA I revise everyday 1 hour throughout the last 3 months. And even for audit I have almost 3 times revision before exams. I will suggest do SM and PM of institute for sure.
Yes I have attended mock test paper and yes they are necessary to test your preparation.
Rank and preparation
Yes initially I have started only by thinking of getting rank and then I keep on boosting myself and even my parents supported me for the same.
I want to enter in CA practice.
I am going through the latest amendments made i.e. GST and even reading IND AS.
